Poverty is a systemic problem often fueled by a lack of access to education and resources to provide a living. In 2007, Christian World Outreach in Burkina Faso created a "learning library" that includes educational and recreational books in French (the national language in Burkina Faso).

Every day students come to the library to study and explore new worlds via reading. This translates to more students passing their final exams and continuing on to the University, which ultimately means a society of educated individuals who can have a positive impact on the entire nation.
